Sorry lzzie been gone for a few days. In the Vegas area the pay varies. Some were paying 10% some were lower having draw on commission. The best I’ve heard is 12%, paid on the deposit, with a cell phone, and office. Kevin W has a lot of good contacts and good customers he’s worth a little more, strictly do to the volume he can bring in. So in answer to your question I think it’s what you as an employee can negotiate and what an employer is willing to pay for work. The economy being what it is, it’s an “employee market”.
One of the better sales persons I know here in Vegas is doing 40 to 50K a month in ship in installation alone. This doesn't include local sales. With fabricators issues and third party inspections the bigger free standing signs are getting harder to sell for a good profit.
Most defiantly Izzie, take your customer base and go somewhere that will appreciate your hard work. You are bringing in good numbers and should be compensated for it. Keep up the good work and Good Luck.
We pay a base salary, phone allowance and car allownace, plus 10-20% commission. This is position is a fulltime outside sales representative. If you, on your own, are producing 60k a month, you should be earning a six figure salary, or very close. You would be if you worked with us.
