BB Grafics overcomes surface heat to install an award-winning building wrap.
BB Grafics (Barcelona) won a Best in Show award for the signage category of the Marco de Oro Awards. The project, titled the “Gigantic Blackboard,” was digitally printed on matte MACtac 9800 Pro vinyl and installed on the 115 x 46-ft. façade of l’Escola Ne Jesus in Barcelona. Applying vinyl to the façade’s steel sheets proved challenging, because the surface reached temperatures of more than 158° F.
Winners of the Marco de Oro Award, which highlights outstanding signage and graphics, received recognition at the Graphispag Digital show in Barcelona in February. The show focuses on the pre-press, digital graphics and screenprinting industries.
