Cutting system's spindle offers up to 50,000 RPM
MultiCam (Dallas) is announcing its Digital Express high-speed, digital-registration, routing and knife-cutting system. The company offers Digital Express on tables that range from 60 x 60 in. to 80 x 120 in.; a high-flow, vacuum table is a standard feature. Routers from 2.7 to 5.5hp are available with spindle speeds up to 50,000 RPM. Three knife-cutting heads may be configured with quick-change cartridges that offer high-frequency oscillating, kiss cutting and a rotary knife, among others. A brushless, digital, AC servo motor with a maximum rapid-traverse speed of 3,400 IPM powers each axis.
