Global Imaging, a reseller of wide- and superwide-format printing systems, has launched the Global Garage, or “The Garage,” for short. An industry resource for selling and buying used equipment, the site, www.globalgarage.net, allows sellers to provide details, photos and videos about the equipment they’re selling. Buyers can sort prospective purchases by technology or manufacturer.

To help determine appropriate sales prices, buyers and sellers can use the Garage Manager, which also assists with details about delivery, installation and training on purchased equipment. Also, the site offers a search-engine-optimized web presence.

The company also offers 20-minute webinars, at 9:30 a.m. MST, twice a month about how to buy or sell used equipment. The webinars are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. MST, on the first Wednesday of every month, and at 1:30 p.m. MST, on the third Wednesday of every month. The webinars cover the logistics of listing equipment to be sold, how to optimize a listing, an overview of the buy/sell process and where to find help. Registration for the webinars is at globalimagininc.com>events.

Global Imaging is also announcing it has added the Velotex Xpress direct, in-line, dye-sublimation printer to its portfolio. Global’s CEO Greg Lamb said, “Textiles are one of the largest growth sectors in large-format printing.”
